Those features are not interchangeable across every country or package, so the first quote question should be: exactly which Lumina model, imaging features, software services, and clearances are included in this offer?

The product is best compared against other scanner ecosystems, not only against scanner handpiece specs. If Invisalign submission, patient education through visual tools, and Align workflow continuity are major practice priorities, Lumina has a clear strategic fit. If the practice is mainly looking for open file export to many labs or low-cost scanner ownership, Medit or TRIOS options may deserve equal or earlier review.

The most important practical distinction is that iTero Lumina’s strongest claims sit at the workflow level.
